Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica

Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica is two groups:

Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica is the only 23-pc big band in the world performing the space-age pop music of Juan Garcia Esquivel. Led by multi-percusionist Brian O'Neill (Mr. Ho), the group has meticulously transcribed the king of space-age bachelor pad's lost arrangements from the original recordings and presents them live for the first time. The band features players with backgrounds as diverse as the Boston Symphony, The Boston Pops, The Afro-Cuban All Star Band, and other notable ensembles.

Escapism. Modernism. Tiki? Referencing the mid-century exotica of Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman, Milt Raskin, and Les Baxter, Mr. Ho’s Orchestrotica presents an original collection of updated jazz, chamber, and world music reaching towards the South Pacific via Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Latin America. Led by multi-percussionist, vibraphonist and composer Brian O’Neill with bass flute (Geni Skendo), percussion (Noriko Terada), and acoustic bass (Jason Davis).
