Ever since he was able to hold crayons, instead of eating them as a toddler, it seems PJ Destin was destined to do something in the arts. As it turns out, he has become an all around Renaissance artist. He is the Author/Artist of 3 published books: "Hope Rising", "Candles in my Closet: The Love Book" and "Everyday, I Am Road Rage".
When he writes, sings and produces original songs, he is well known as Mr. PJ, The Fuzzy Soul Tiger. His original songs and music videos can be found on YouTube under the FuzzySoulTiger channel. Since debuting in 2007 as CalmRage1 to make videos promoting his books to doing cover songs as MoonwalkerPJ, he created the FuzzySoulTiger channel to display his versatility from making original music videos, spoken word, moments of comedy and slices of Life.
"Brand New Video" is the first original song/music video to start off the year 2010. Mr. PJ created this song as a means of having his own original theme song to introduce the majority of his earlier videos on the YouTube FuzzySoulTiger channel. The actual video for the song is not just a New Year celebration but is also a celebration of just living and the possibilities ahead. A sequel for the video is being planned to start off 2011! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlfDf1DgbrM
"Earthquake Song of Hope (Someone's Watching Over Your Shoulders)" is an original song inspired by the shocking tragic events just days after the Earthquake in Haiti took place Jan. 2010. The song was written to provide encouragement to those living in America who were unable to reach their families and loved ones in Haiti when the event destroyed the majority of communication. The video began taking off reaching over 20,000 views with very little advertising and was instrumental in helping to make the Fuzzy Soul Tiger a YouTube partner after 3 years of being turned down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04G3JXfujqs
"The Halloween Hop" was originally written in the fall of 2000 but was resurrected in tribute to both the one year anniversary death of Michael Jackson and his highly influential "Thriller" mega music video and the passing of Heath Ledger who won an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor for the role of the Joker from the film "The Dark Knight" a year after his untimely death. The music video is both humorous and suspenseful while the song speaks to the fears of the everyday common person. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXg3rxJQIGo
"My Favorite Lady (A Song For Mama)" is a special song dedicated not just to his own Mom but to Mothers and those who step up to being a Mother figure towards someone. The video and song has quickly become a favorite for those who also reminisce about their moms whom they don't see to often or may have passed away.
"Recession (Song of Unemployment)" was inspired by Mr. PJ becoming unemployed for nearly 3 years after working consistently since his teenage years. Recession hit hard for many who experienced difficulties in finding jobs regardless of experience and degrees. This song is a random stream of thoughts about what it feels like to be let down in such an event which resonates with many others who've gone through this situation and are still going through it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47r1A_jTzy4
His original debut album, "MAN ON A MISSION", will include these original songs and more especially for those who've come to enjoy his Fuzzy Soul style! Keep a lookout for it from Mr. PJ, The Fuzzy Soul Tiger as this has been a longtime dream in the making!
