Born Gesner Dalmon , Mr.J received his nickname “J” by his elder brother.Being frequently referred to as Mr.J by friends and others, the name Mr.J stuck with him and was carried over to be recognized as the reggae artist he is. Recently releasing his latest reggae music video, Stop Drinking Rum, Mr.J is truly “flying high” as his slogan says when taking stage to perform. His latest release adds to his music video archive which can be found on his youtube tv channel ( ).

Born in Nassau Bahamas, April 26th 1974 to Haitian migrants,Gesner grew up as a humble hard working and ambitious young man. From an early age, Gesner aka Mr.J was taught the value of hard work and
honesty. He applied these principles very early during his childhood life. After graduating from high school, Mr.J enrolled in a local vocational institute where he graduated with the basic fundamentals of electronics. He then began his career as an electronics repair technician, landing his very first job in the field with a company at which he was on a job training program while in school.

Music has always been an interest to Mr.J but not to the level of becoming a musical artist. Mr.J got started in music in 1996 when he discovered a hidden talent lying dormant in him. Reserving a special love for reggae music, to his surprise, he found himself being able to flow with the music and heard a vocal ability sounding like a reggae artist. At that point, Mr.J began singing more often. He then began writing his own lyrics and purchased his first multitrack recording software (Acid 1.0) and was blown away from actually hearing his voice on record. Mr.J made his international debut in Canada 2003,at a pre festival concert dubbed “Son Splash”. From there, Mr.J have travelled to Guyana and Islands around the Bahamas to perform at concerts. He also began recording dubplates for a sound system based in Canada called “Evangelist International” , where he also recorded his international music video entitled “Money We Want”.

Mr.J is currently working on a series of new video projects and in studio working on his album.Making international networks and friends, Mr.J is well on his way to becoming known in the Caribbean and other countries.
