Mr. Tac

Mr.Tac a.k.a. Chocolate is a underground hip-hop artist, songwriter and producer born and raised in The Bronx, N.Y., known for his 2007 solo debut album "A Day In Da Life Experience". He began his musical journey at the age of 3 and by the age of 9; was playing the drums and writing songs for local bands. Mr.Tac had began recording and producing his first of many professional studio tracks in his early middle school years. With the guidance of his former manager; at the age of 19, he established his indie record label Zone Platinum Entertainment.

It was then Mr.Tac released his first single "Up Next" and introduced his Drop-Zone sound to the world. In 2002, Mr.Tac took his music career to the next level as a back up dancer for J Records recording artist Alicia Keys, which introduced him to the pros and cons of this cut throat music industry. From the experience and knowledge acquired on tour, Mr.Tac was inspired to write, record and produce his first music video for his home town anthem "Put Your X's Up".

During this time, Mr.Tac took on his biggest challenge to date, being a first time father. Which further more motivated him to elevate his career and build a better future for his legacy. As his buzz on the streets grew so did the size of his family and with raising 5 children came hardship, pain and struggle. These life changing experiences has helped enhance Mr.Tac's songwriting capabilities.

As Mr.Tac becomes more of a philosophical hip-hop artist, his music style incorporates issues people face everyday (poverty, racism, family, religion, politics, etc). With the drastic changes in the hip-hop world, Mr.Tac continues to remain true to his music followers releasing over 12 solo albums.
