Naya EZ, from Brooklyn New York. Who this year will storm the charts with his debut single Sensi. The Reggae singjay who is a writer, producer and musician has been engulfed in music his entire life. The son of a kingstonian, he was brought up with the Jamaican culture and music from birth. Sensi was released on the last day of February 2013 to rave reviews. The excitement about this new voice and style in music has many people waiting to hear more. He incorporates music from reggae, ska, dub, hip hop, rock and country. His music is meant to touch all people who appreciate all genres of music. Naya EZ grew up in Caribbean communities all his life from Brooklyn, Miami, and Jamaica. His frequent travels and stay in southern towns like Eden, North Carolina and other southern states of the United States made him appreciate blues, rock, and country music as well. All these genres of music can be heard in Naya EZ’s collection of music. Naya EZ migrated with his father to Miami, Florida from Brooklyn, New York. While in Brooklyn and Miami he was influenced by the music his father and other siblings brought back from Jamaica singers like Yellow Man, Eek a Mouse, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, Junior Reed, and many more. He started to learn to play the guitar being influenced by his uncle Carlton Bryan who was a member of the very successful reggae band Steel Pulse. He would be back stage and watch the band play at various tour dates. He eventually devoted his love of instruments to the electric bass. His father, who loved music and would follow the sound system in Jamaica, Sound systems like King Tubbys and Jack Ruby, he decided to purchase a sound system of his own and Naya then known, as DJ Kwame was the DJ for the set. They would play various venues in Miami blasting sweet reggae and dancehall music in a community that was totally into Hip Hop and R&B at the time. As a DJ in Miami Naya EZ was ingrained in the Dirty south music culture and beats and has infused this into his music along with his Flatbush influences.
His unique blend of Reggae, Hip-Hop, dancehall and ska underlined with his ever-present passion for the modern Roots Reggae sound has attracted interest throughout the music industry. Naya EZ was a member of a reggae band, playing bass the band would play various venues throughout New York City.
The band wanted to continue and book dates in other countries but Naya’s heart was into producing and writing. Now working with his brother under Majority Rules Management he feels it is time to let the massive hear a music that is unique and unprecedented.
