Nalin Jayawardena (Sinhala : නලින් ජයවර්ධන) (born April 18, 1957) is a popular Sri Lankan singer and vocalist. He was the first Sri Lankan singer to release an internet based audio album in Sinhala allowing his fans from around the world to download the album free of charge. This album titled Kanda Paamule was released in 2004. Nalin Jayawardena lives in Perth, Australia. He has released more than 10 CDs including several tribute CDs for the legendary singer HR Jothipala (Sinhala : එච්. ආර්. ජෝතිපාල). Nalin Jayawardena has sang over 100 original songs. These songs were composed in collaboration with talented sinhala lyric writers such as Dr Vicumpriya Perera (Sinhala : විකුම්ප්රිය පෙරේරා), Sunil Govinnage (Sinhala : සුනිල් ගෝවින්නගේ), Sriya Kumarasingha (Sinhala : ශ්රියා කුමාරසිංහ) and Chrishanthi de fonseka (Sinhala : ක්රිෂාන්ති ද ෆොන්සේකා). Musical composition for Nalin's songs were done by popular Sri Lankan musicians including Nimal Mendis (Sinhala : නිමල් මෙන්ඩිස්), Rohan Jayawardena (Sinhala : රොහාන් ජයවර්ධන), Sangeeth Wickramasingha (Sinhala : සංගීත් වික්රමසිංහ), Ananda Widyasekara (Sinhala : ආනන්ද වෛද්යසේකර) and Rukshan Karunanayaka (Sinhala : රුක්ෂාන් කරුණානායක).
Vicumpriya Perera (Sinhala:විකුම්ප්රිය පෙරේරා) (19 February) is a Sri Lankan born mathematician, lyricist, music producer and a poet. He has published two books of sinhala poetry Mekunu Satahan (Sinhala:මැකුනු සටහන්)  , and Paa Satahan (Sinhala:පා සටහන්) . He has produced seven sinhala song albums containing exclusively of his lyrics. These albums are Paa Satahan , Weli Aetayak , Ukusu Es , Niwaadu Kaale , Viduli Eliyak , Mal Renuwak , Siththaruwanani , and Indikalaa Pem Medurak . He is credited with writing over 150 songs.
Nalin and Vicumpriya had collaborated in the making of the first-ever Dhammapada Stanzas CD packs with Ven Beruwela Siri Sobitha and Dr Gill Fronsdal in sinhala as well as in english. They also collaborated in making the charity CD/DVD in the aid of the Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka. They also produced Kulageyin Kulageyata (Sinhala:කුලගෙයින් කුලගෙයට) (2012), the first Sinhala novel converted to an Audiobook under the Lanka Heritage, LLC. The production runs to a total length of five compact discs and is published by Sarasavi Publishers, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. Kulageyin Kulageyata (2009) is a Sinhala novel written by Bhadraji Mahinda Jayatilaka and the main reader of the book is the author Bhadraji himself.
