Nancy Nishihira is an Okinawan-American singer/songwriter/lyricist/guitarist and multimedia artist based in Metro Detroit.
Her debut album, ‘a single breath’ was originally released in 2001 and was re-released in 2006. She is currently working on her second independent album and rehearsing with her new rock band, The Grimps.
Most recently, Nishihira was seen performing at the first annual Rock and Rose Fashion Show, which was held to raise breast cancer awareness in the Asian-American community.
In addition to her musical endeavors, she has folded a thousand origami cranes, is bilingual in Japanese and enjoys drinking bubble tea at 2 AM.
