Nano Stern from Chile is a student of the traditional music of the world. Since he started playing violin at 3 at the feet of his sister, he has travelled in his home town of Santiago, across Latin America and around the globe, filling old bottles with new wine. He's established himself as a leader of the new generation of Latin American songwriters and is a passionate advocate of the legacy of Victor Jara.
Since he released his debut album at 21 in 2006, Nano has attracted a legion of fanatical followers, drawn to their their feet, thundering for more. His solo live show is not to be missed. Although he sings his songs in Spanish, his performance skills are such that he manages to communicate the sense of his stories to all, with beautifully composed melodies and superb arrangements. His second album, Voy Y Vuelvo, won him the Chilean Grammy (APES) for best album.
There is something unbelievably special about Nano He has a magic that is blowing everyone away that sees and hears him. Even though he sings mostly in Spanish he has won both popular and critical acclaim in countries as far apart as Australian and Sweden. At home in Chile he is one of the leading new artists of the New Chielan Folk sound. His songs are on the radio, he's playing live to thousands of people and is featured and
reviewed in the national media. In 2009, he released his third album, Los Espejos.
