BIOGRAPHY
Naoko Ono was born and classically trained in Japan. She came to the U.S. in 1994 and studied with some of the Jazz greats like Ron Carter, Barry Harris, Michael Mossman and Sir Roland Hanna. She studied and earned her M.A. at Queens College and her B.A. at Tokyo Kunitachi Music College.
Naoko has also performed live with her group, Montego Joe, Sabir Mateen, Billy Bang, Ann Sinclaire, Annette St. Johns, The Cotton Club Jazz Orchestra/Jazz Ensemble/Gospel Show Band (recorded, radio and TV performances) at many well known venues such as Birdland, Roulette, The Knitting Factory, The Main International Film festival, The Panasonic Jazz Festival, The Vision Festival and recently played with "Legend of Jazz" at Stuyvesant Cove Park Concert.
