Biography

Puerto Rican singer and song writer Neftali Rivera was born in a small town in the island of Puerto Rico. (October 18, 1952) At an early age he started to learn to played the guitar and sing in family gatherings. He came from a huge family of musicians and singers, including his dad, Don Tite Rivera. At age 17th he went to try fortune on a musical T.V. program (Los Alegres Tres.) That same day he was hire by Paquito Cordero Productions (Telemundo Channel 2) to perform on their T.V. programs and signed to do his first recording. For 2 years he participate in programs such as Danny Rivera show, Papo Roman and Los Alegres Tres in the same T.V. station. He also did his first recording with Cordero Productions in 1972. For several years after that he went on tour with a group of artist and musicians through the Island of Puerto Rico and visit the Dominican Republic to perform in different hotels several occasions. In 1973 he formed his first ensemble of friends and musicians and quickly became the house act in different resorts and hotels in the Island.
In 1991 he decided to moved to Portland, Oregon, looking for better opportunities for him and his family,were he still lives and work like a musician, song writer and singer.
