Nelson Bragg has been Brian Wilson's percussionist/singer since 2003. He also toured the world with The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Celebration, summer 2012.
Nelson Bragg is a veteran on the L.A. pop scene and has played/recorded with L.A. bands Stew and The Negro Problem, Seth Swirsky (The Red Button), The Quarter After, Willie Wisely, Wrecking Crew members Hal Blaine, Don Randi and Jerry Cole, and produced and toured with the great Anny Celsi among many, countless others. He also was in The Narrada Michael Walden Orchestra in NYC and San Francisco backing up Sting, Billy Joel and James Taylor.
"We Get What We Want" is Nelson Bragg's 2nd solo album following his 2006 debut "Day Into Night." The music on both albums is melodic, harmony-based folk/pop with 60's and 70's influence.
Nelson Bragg deserves to be heard. "We Get What We Want" has been received all over the world with high praise from listeners and the press alike. It is original. It is classic. It is pop songwriting lovingly produced for people avoiding TV-made rock stars and cookie cutter, auto-tuned formula.
An all around multi-instrumentalist, it’s Bragg’s expert drumming and spot-on vocal abilities that have garnered him the most attention. He’s also a master arranger and an advanced composer in his own right, a natural musician brimming with confidence and chops (he once sat-in – uninvited, no less – with the great Paul Williams, and proceeded to blow the house down). Nelson's new label, Steel Derrick Music, just released his sophomore CD, "We Get What We Want." Future plans under this same label include concentrated music production work and art creation and distribution.
