The musical story of Nick Pedro is one that would have likely gone untold if not for one fateful summer morning when friends and family convinced him to skip work and audition for American Idol. Born in the working-class town of Taunton, Massachusetts to Portuguese parents, Nick's aspirations of having his voice heard the world over seemed like a long-shot at best. With no vocal training, Nick soon won over the hearts of millions worldwide. Praised for his smooth tone, uniquely textured voice and tenacious work ethic, he became one of Season Six's final 10 male contestants left standing out of the initial 110,000 hopefuls.
Upon leaving the show, he briefly toured and then settled down to married life and became a father. Having family as his top priority, his musical life again took a backseat. As he puts it, "The volatility of the music industry and life on the road isn't the most conducive to a healthy family life."
Today, with a renewed passion to share his gift, Nick now enters the studio with a maturity and writing ability to add to his versatile vocal stylings.
