Nikki Slade has pioneered voicework and kirtan in the UK since 1990. During her earlier career as an actress and singer she performed in venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal National Theatre, developing the abilities to work with audiences large and small.
Initially, Nikki was inspired by the power of sound through the ecstatic practice of devotional chanting of India tradition. In her ealier carreer Nikki studied with teachers who specialise in the transforming power of the voice, and would like to express her deep gratitude to her friend and teacher Chloƫ Goodchild.
Nikki offers kirtans, individual and group Voicework to everyone from business people to performers and the general public. Her corporate appearances include conferences and workshops for companies such as Orange, Boots, M&C Saatchi, Cisco Systems and the Arts Council. Nikki has led workshops for the NHS and Wandsworth Prison and works regularly at The North London Priory Hospital on the addiction treatment programme.
Nikki's chanting CD's have been recommended by renowned tabla artist, Talvin Singh and are widely popular both in Europe and the USA reaching a broad audience of corporations, yoga centres and general public. Many people have reported that her CD Soundscape has enabled them to access deep states of mediation for the first time in many years. Monsoon and Nectarine receive wonderful testimonials everyday from around the world that these chants are uplifting and blissful and a wonderful accompaniment throughout the day.
Renowned Law of Attraction speaker from The Secret Dr. John Demartini highly recommends Monsoon. Her CD Soundscape is becoming vastly popular as the leading meditation CD for the Abraham Hicks Law of Attraction Meetup groups in the UK. Also distinguished Yoga Teacher and Ayuveda specialists Cameron Alborzion has used one of the tracks from Nectarine on his media documentary on MSNBC Today Show.
