Ninefinger

Biography

Bred and spread in Los Angeles, Ninefinger is a take no prisoners hard rock band, that has been blowing audiences away with their high-octane rock sound and sexy, vigorous live performances. They always leave the crowd screaming for more.

Ninefinger is fronted by the charismatic Mike Winney whose sex appeal and gritty, guttural lead vocals always seduces a crowd. Mike is complemented by the riff doctor, Joshua Picard whose riffs are renowned for bringing a crowd to life. To complete the incredible Ninefinger sound, we have the high-pulsating bassist, James Ledesma; and the drumming guru, Buddah who keeps the heartbeat of the band pounding.

Humble beginnings: In 2000, guitarist Joshua Picard moved from Rhode Island to Los Angeles where he set out to start a band and not just any band – the best. Enter Mike Winney who had only just arrived to LA from Arizona. Joshua and Mike met through mutual friends and almost immediately starting playing gigs. Realizing they found magic, Joshua and Mike formed Ninefinger. In the summer of 2005, bassist James Ledesma joined the band and shortly thereafter drummer Eric “Buddah” Soria joined. Finally, Joshua and Mike had a full, monster band that is poised to set the music business on fire.

In 2007, Ninefinger released their first EP, The Beginning. In 2009, they released their first full length CD, Year of the Finger, of which the track “Speed Queen” can be found on the upcoming soundtrack for the motion picture Repo. Ninefinger has rocked all the best L.A. clubs and are bringing the Ninefinger experience to a city near you.
