One terrible drum set. One keyboard. One basement. That’s how No Name In Sight started.
Drummer, Collin Pretty, and pianist, Graydon Campbell, got together in the summer of 2007 and started to jam on some cover tunes. With no goals in mind, the two just played for the sake of making music. One year later, No Name In Sight has evolved into a three-piece, piano-pop/rock band with a number of shows under their belts, a 6-track home-recorded album, and a sound enjoyed by all ages. “...not your normal five-piece, head bashing, rock band.” – Stittsville News 23/9/08
Playing shows around the Ottawa area, No Name In Sight is constantly writing new music. Summer 2009 marked the creation of their first professional album "They Built Walls". Recorded at Pebble Studios, Nepean, Canada in the months of July & August, "They Build Walls" is release in October 2009. Eight tracks (some new some old) show the diversity of NNIS's music. With new music, new shows, and a new live show, No Name In Sight is preparing for an exciting year.
Founding members Graydon Campbell and Collin Pretty started writing songs based off the styles of Ben Folds and Elton John. Collin, having been trained in Jazz drumming, added his personal flare to the music while Graydon added his classical background and pop style to the mix. New member, Adam Purchase, on bass guitar joined the band in the fall of 2008 to make No Name In Sight a trio.
