BIOGRAPHY

Noord23naarZuid combines self created material with found sound and movie material to create a unique esthetic. This esthetic is determined by a longing to travel beyond the everyday human perspective and experience and in doing so paint intense landscapes with words, sounds and imagery. N23nZ made a short movie “Sun”, using solar data from research satellites from the NASA and ESA, which premiered at the Incubate festival, Tilburg 13 september 2011. In 2011 N23nZ made a reconstruction of the events of 9/11 “Tell God to blow the wind from the west”, using real audio from NEADS, NYFD, 911 etc. And In the lastest work "Not From This World" a wide array of only extra terrestrial sound sources was used to create a unique eerie soundscape.

Currently N23nZ is expanding "Not From This World" into a live performance in which Audio, Video and lights will be perfectly synced.
