Nuclear Bubble Wrap

Biography

Nuclear Bubble Wrap is an alternative rock band from Memphis, Tennessee that does comedy music. Comparable to the likes of Weezer and They Might Be Giants, their lyrics tend to be quirky and their music covers just about any genre. They also frequently do song parodies of popular music, including acts like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and The Beatles.

The band’s first claim to fame was being played on The Dr. Demento Show in 2006. Since then, their music has gained a following on the internet, leading to thousands of downloads from iTunes and an animated video to their song “ScientLOLojyuuichi” which earned over 250,000 views and won the Daily Feature on Newgrounds.com.

Their songs tackle a wide variety of subjects, including internet culture, environmentalism, science fiction, and Scientology with a humorous slant. Their latest EP, “You Are What You Eat” marks their studio debut.

The band members are:
Jace McLain - Vocals, keyboards, can occasionally be persuaded to play guitar
Kyle Thorne - Guitars
Brendan Sheairs - Bass
