I was born in Uganda, with a family name not so foreign to people there. At an early age I was often on the road because we fled a couple of times into exile first time due to my maternal grandfather's murder by a brutal military regime in 1977. I had to learn what it meant to have worldly riches one minute and to stand in line for food vouchers the next day. Those were very hard times, but we never gave up hope and our faith in God made us strong. Life at home was based on Bible studying, music and the whole family usually performed as the choir in Church. That taught me to become the survivor that I am today. I guess that is why I call myself not only a Ugandan, but a world citizen. I started my journey to explore the world of music, by performing in Germany with "The Voices" at different cultural events, then moved on to performing with a group called the"Ning Nings" which was good experience for me. I also learned a lot about music through Studio productions and took vocal lessons with the very talented Tenor, Angelo Mazelloni (still here for me) . I then met Christian Bakotessa who has since then been there for me too, not only in the studios, but also to back me up on stage. I have backed other artists in their productions and also belong to different Church choirs. Music has always played a very important role in my life because it is a way of relieving the burdens that hold me down in the everyday routines and it keeps me sane in this crazy world. Even though I still have sad memories of my past, I am truly proud of where I come from and to my roots I will return one fine day. My faith in God has always been strong and I thank Him for the blessings He has given me in meeting talented musicians, who have helped me along this journey and who are still just a phone call away. They will always have a special place in my heart.
