Our Day Remains are a rock band from Bolton , Greater Manchester. Forming as an Indie rock band ODR has sought a more alternative rock sound and on the heels of mass recognition with their recently recorded track and upcoming EP.
The band started by performing gigs at their colleges and school events and have always believed in performing original material for their listeners. Combing their songs with mainstream covers they have generated a massive buzz and excitement on the local music scene. In a short space of time , their entry into the local music scene saw them perform at many of the live music circuit venues in the north-west.
“...Our Day Remains are not just your usual gig band..They represent a rising trend within the local community to merge with a kind of fission that is impossible to control..”
What makes ODR appealing and successful is their roots in live music. This band has developed from bed-room acoustic sets to a dynamic live experience playing venues such as the Soundhouse and Manchester’s Academy. This passion and commitment to the live scene led ODR to win “Battle of the Bands “ and land a competition prize of recording their first track .
Its clear that this is just the beginning of what could become the North-West continued contribution to popular music. What is most astounding is the depth of their own lyrics , the quality and creativity of their compositions which you cannot deny.
Their day of mass recognition does remain but it is simply a matter of when and not if.
“Break Down The Bridges” is the first single from their forthcoming EP in 2010
