Off-Hand is a rock band. Their motto is live, love, music. Once upon a time, there were three band mates who left their favorite home state at the top of the eastern seaboard and traveled to the west, ending up in Ohio. There they stopped, half dead, half ravenous, confused and disoriented.
Leaving home was like leaping out of a moving van. The comfort and peace they once knew had vanished all at once, and they were left writing. About 10 months after arriving in Cleveland, Tye was all that was left. He wrote an acoustic rock song about missing his old home and everything there and played it for his brother, who lived in Vermont, on his way to a visit to Maine. Tobias, who was a drummer, was so impressed by Tye’s song that he decided an the spot to move to Ohio and add to the magic that he saw. Tye and Tobias asked their father, Ron, who has always been a great supporter to the band, to play bass and from there they created the album Lost Me. But soon after Ron was pulled away by life and the search for a new bassist began. Off-Hand posted their need on http//:www.Off-Hand.com, and that was how Reiske found them. After the song with him, Tye and Tobias fell in love with his sound, and the rest is future.
Off-Hand’s genre is slap grunge, they write songs about life and all that it entails. Tye, Tobias, and Rieski invite you to enjoy their art. If you don't like it, you're welcome to go. If you do like it, please stay. There are more experiences and songs to rival them to come.
Sometimes going away is better than staying, and sometimes staying is the best way to get away. If you pick yourself up only to get lost again, you'll find yourself looking forever for your familiar, which can be a blessing. And if you leave heaven behind, you will recreate it endlessly. Rock On!
