BIOGRAPHY
Old Man Mike is also known as Michael Biggam.
Since 1998 he has been involved with visual and audio production but only began to group together sound recordings for release in the last two years.
The moniker comes courtesy of a friend who mentioned the music Mike listened to was that of the old man variety, a concept that turned a great number of cogs and wheels.
The self-trained musician uses a fusion of recorded and sequenced audio, creating textures that stand starkly in the face of contemporary pop, electronica and dance music. Mike spent his formative years living in the countryside, absorbing the shapes, smells and ideas that flow within natural ecosystems. At the turn of the century he relocated to Manchester, UK, where the pace intensified and his mission was presented.
