They wander this land, the wide open land of possibility, in search of the source to their very being. Nomads of the scene, they are a band of a different order, not of pure blood, but inherently drawn together by their differences and common purpose. Bound as brothers, they have united to lay the foundation of their distinctive craft. And as they walk vast open plains, they are aware of the energy that swirls around them and what such things mean. For they are signs that feed their intuition and in return they offer their music to honor them in return. The sounds they generate echo all throughout the land, through the valleys and fill every space of each gorge. Though their opus is not that of the norm, you will remember hearing their voice in every sound and you will know their name as they pass on by. But should the mountains roar down with jagged rock falling at their every side, tempting them to turn back on this established path, they will not be deterred and will stay true and create their own path. For they are the custodians of this sound, charged with guiding this new voice into tomorrow. They are the journeymen, they are, the Olmeg. (by Robbie Byrne)
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, OLMEG are on the never ending search for the big riff and the heaviest curly groove. The bluesy, fuzzed–out, psychedelic rock, power trio, deliver masses of deep rolling riffs that intertwine into spatial atmospheres that get inside your head!
Formed in July 2011, the like minded musicians quickly honed material soon after forming and recorded their debut Album ‘SLAB’ in January 2012.
