Born in Richmond, California, up-and-coming hip hop artist Doc Dolla began rapping at the young age of 11. Over time, his creativity has helped him develop a unique and dynamic style that is without precedent. This distinct delivery, paired with his mastery of “freestyle writing” - or, the ability to write entire verses on the fly - has allowed him to consistently release music without sounding recycled and boring.
Doc has also encountered his share of struggles. When music wasn’t paying the bills, he took his talents to the streets. A headshot and a skull fracture later, he realized he’d given enough of himself to the streets, and decided to put everything he had into his music. The resulting work is an artistically balanced, refined picture of some of the realest, most raw subject matter drawn on from personal experiences.
A genuine product, with a polished finish. The quality is such that his work has received the approval of some of the Bay Area’s biggest, most recognizable names such as IamSu!, G-Eazy, as well as the ambassador himself, E-40. Doc Dolla finally released his major debut single “Where Were You” on December 13th, 2015, and is currently working on his latest project - an EP entitled FMB4ID (Feel Me B4 I Die) - a project that seeks to define him as a person, not just an artist.
