PJ Jones

Biography

PJ Jones began singing and writting country songs at the early age of 15. After winning a major TV talent show "Rocket to Stardom", she formed one of the first "all Girl" country bands under the name of Patty Jones and the Country Cats. During the early 60's while involved in a weekly TV show in Odessa Texas, she released a single on Gateway Records "I'm in a Hurry" and signed on for a tour with Waylon Jennings. She continued writting songs for other artists while rasing her daughters and building a Real Estate Career.
In 1984 she returned to performing as part of the West Coast's popular country duo "Kick Back Country", and released several original songs on the Roadgang Label.
In the 90's she teamed up with talented daughter Lory Dobbs to form "Heart to Heart". Their great harmonies and blend of traditional and new age country resulted in a unique blend "all their own". They released an album called "Audition".
In 2003, PJ returned to her love of writting and singing country songs. Her new CD "CHasin the Dream" is a very entertaining album of original tunes from emotional country songs like "Looking for Lory", to an upbeat humerous tune about "drag racers" called Drag Racing 101, ...and a great song "de ja vu" that we all can relate too.
This is the best of "PJ".
