P-Theory

Biography

P-Theory is a six piece band of international musicians who's modern take on funk and classic rock takes influence from Hendrix, Bob Marley & the Wailers, The Rolling Stones, Curtis Mayfield and their most closely associated mentors and collaborators - Parliament Funkadelic (P-Funk).

Since the band's inception in 2005, P-Theory has released 2 full length studio albums ("From the Hood To The Wood" and "Chocolate Sock"), a full length DVD documenting the unique story of P-Theory, and mutliple singles on both vinyl and digital release. Equally at home in a club or a festival, P-Theory are a must see live act.

Led and produced by Alex Campbell but fronted by funk great - Kevin Goins (brother of P-Funk legend Glenn Goins) and Chanelle "Shake It" Edwards, P-Theory has toured throughout Europe and the USA. Their third studio album "Redemption" is set for release on Dec 20th 2011 and features collaborations with founding member of the original Funkadelic - Billy "Bass" Nelson - on five of the album's 12 tracks.

Renowned for their high energy, audience involved, super funky live performances; P-Theory has gained global recognition as an innovator in merging Trans-Atlantic roots music. Through drawing hard on the collective influences (from both sides of the pond) P-Theory produce a new style of funk and classic rock.

P-Theory delivers gritty grooves and spiritual messages over a phat back beat, that will get you up dancing, chanting and grooving and keep you there until you are sweating and euphoric.
