Paris Pliakas plays guitar by the age of nine. After studying classical guitar he went to the origin land of
flamenco, Jerez de La Frontera in Andalucia, where he was involved to the marvelous world of flamenco.
His real artistic training though came through the way of experience as an accompanist of flamenco
dancers and singers who gave him the artistic name “Tio Currito”.
Gipsy techniques, the mercurial speed of his playing , the hollow strumming of his fingernails on the
strings or the guitar wood , pure sound combined with creative imagination on his improvisation are
some of the main elements that characterize his strictly personal style as a guitar interpreter and music
Among other flattering praises he treasures the following comments by one of the world most famous
flamenco guitarists, Carlos Montoya, who said for Paris Pliakas:
"Too much technique, fantastic interpretations. Congratulations, he is a magnificent guitarist."
