"I was never able to play "by ear" even though I tried many times. I once
complimented a woman who could play the piano with gusto, and she was
nearly blind. She said, "Oh, it's a gift from God. I prayed and asked Him for this
gift, and He gave it to me." I remember going home, sitting before my $50
beat-up, out of tune, upright piano, and asking Him to be able to play for Him.
I can't explain it, but I began to play. All of the sudden, it was truly a real song!
That was 28 years ago and I am surprised and blessed by the songs He gives
me. I wanted to share these gift s of songs with others, so I began to play His
songs before Mass at my Parish. In 2006, I recorded what became the first
CD, “Cross His Heart“. These songs were given to me in one day, in about an
hour or so of playing. I have been blessed each time I hear them again, to pray
with them and hope that other will be blessed by the music as well.
