Patrick Junior a.k.a. De Minister, the conscious reggae singer/songwriter/producer, is on a threshold of greatness without compromising or integrity. De Minister's musical journey began at the age of twelve in the Caribbean Island of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, his positive, high-energy performances has been rocking the crowd ever since.
De Minister scored his first massive hit with the single "Shower Me With JAH Love", followed by a string of critically acclaimed releases. The track "If I'm Not Loving JAH" taken from the Easy Star Volume 1 compilation, was an immense breakthrough. Patrick held his own among reggae royalty like Sugar Minott, Meditation, Sister Carol and Sluggy Ranks just to name a few. Patrick Junior's debut album Love Is The Message, co-produced by Courtney Panton showcases the singer's brilliant compositions and commanding vocal styles that lead the audiences requesting more, while ministering the message of love with great music and the innovative rhythms of spiritual upliftment.
Patrick Junior's principles towards Christianity and Rastafarian lifestyle, governed by the teachings of H.I.M Emperor Haile Selassie I 1st, deeply influence De Minister and are evidenced in his music and life. In 2001, the smash "Jesus Is The Same" celebrated musician's faith in Jesus Christ (Yesus Christos) of Nazareth, and was featured on the blockbuster Reggae For Jesus Various Artists Compilation. This album also featured other notables such as Luciano, Glen Washington, Ritchie Stephens, George Nooks and Ernie Smith. In 2003 Patrick navigated the music scene with releases such as "U.N.I.T.Y" and "Don't", as well as the highly anticipated maxi-singles "JAH Will Provide" and "Mr.Terrorist", following in 2004 with the Innerview Mixtape Vol. 1. 2005 Patrick Junior drops tunes like "Trodding/Tracks Of Life" and "Everlasting Work", taken from the Shine Your Light compilation, creating a major buzz. Winter 2008 Patrick performed at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Twelve Tribes of Israel in Jamaica, there he shared the stage with many other Twelve Tribes of Israel artists including Taurus Riley, Morgan Heritage and Sugar Minott. Patrick was then invited to perform and headlined at the 2nd Annual Bushland Festival in Bavaria, Germany, alongside veteran Jamaican artist King Kong and a host of other international and German artists.
Fall 2008 released the sampler Proud to Be Black EP, featuring Scepta, and De Minister is currently in the studios at work on his sophomore studio album More Love to be released spring 2013.
Patrick Junior has toured the Caribbean, Africa, USA, Europe, Central and South America spreading the gospel of Christ though reggae music. Patrick and backing band Spiritual Uplifment, have graced dozens of stages with over 1,000 dates, including festivals, concerts, amphitheaters and charity events. De Minister also shares the bill with reggae icons like The Wailers, Beres Hammond, Freddie Mc Gregor, Buju Banton, Capleton, Half Pint, Denroy Morgan, Fred Lock, Ken Boothe, anthony B, Norris Man and Twelve Tribes of Israel acts.
With a consistent and extensive itinerary, De Minister continues to win over an ever-growing worldwide fan base with the teachings of Christ as the foundation.
