Patty Cronheim

Biography

Jazz vocalist and composer Patty Cronheim's 'Days Like These' is an exciting debut album of mostly original songs that perfectly compliment her warm voice. "Her compositions and her earthy vocal style reflect her experience and her passions" says Doug Ramsey - Winner of the Jazz Journalists Lifetime Achievement Award. A project that combines jazz, blues, and Latin influences in her own unique mix, 'Days Like These' is filled with vivacious, soulful style and uncompromising vocals.

She is a winner of the Best American Song competition - jazz category, The West Coast International Song Writer awards, and a finalist in The International Music Think Tank Award. She has opened for the late Ray Charles, performed her original music on the Jane Pauley Show, and played alongside Ralph Bowen, Steve Williams, Guilherme Franco, Ken Pendergast, Clifford Adams, and many others.

'Days Like These' features Aaron Weiman on keyboards, Brain Glassman on bass, Corey Rawls on Drums, Greg Wall on tenor and soprano, Audrey Welber on Alto, and Clifford Adams on Trombone.

Patty is a jazz musician who not only exhibits exciting musical technique, but has something to say. Her versatility and sensitivity are apparent in every note. Jon Sobel of the Blog Critic writes of her new album: "Patty Cronheim has delivered a winner that's earned a place on my jazz shelf... a warm expressive voice, a distinctive rhythmic feel, with melodies and lyrics that fit her cozy voice like a blanket... timeless."
