Life's journey provides enough inspiration for me to want to write.
Music has and always will be my constant, my hope and my rock.
Began playing in pubs and clubs in 1986, mainly with school friends, performing covers of their fav bands.
In 1988 Paul put together his first band that played only original songs.
Later that year Animus was formed consisting of Vince Sanna on drums, Bill Johnson on bass and Paul on vox and guitars.
Animus were a power / thrash metal group that enjoyed local and international success.
They also had their self released EP "A Dead Life" sell and receive airplay all over the world.
After Animus split over musical differences in 1993, Paul and Vince Sanna continued writing, recording and playing live together.
They recorded an EP in 1994 and then again in 1999.
They performed often as just a two piece and were known as "Suck This". Their music could be described as ambitiously diverse, ranging from hard rock to blues, sweeping ballads to quirky funk.
Suck This achieved some local notoriety by getting some airplay in Australia and whenever they played live they would give away lollipops or other confectionary to suck on...
The year 2000 saw Paul and Vince part company.
In 2001 Paul wrote and recorded his first solo LP "Transitional Suburban Peoples Project".
2008 saw Paul back writing and recording.
A few "singles" have been released online during the years that followed.
2013 has big plans... 20+ songs have been written and await recording for the release of a second solo long play....
