When asked about songwriting, Peggy Rowe McKay states that she writes what she hears. "I hear music and then go to the piano to play it."
The CD, "God of the Breakthrough" is the newest songwriting release from Peggy Rowe McKay. This powerhouse CD is a combination of gospel, soul, and rock with moving ballads of praise and worship.
Peggy's education also merges music and counseling into a lovely blend of peaceful and therapeutic background music. The instrumental CD, "Serenity -- Piano for the Soul" is perfect for background music, dinner music, receptions, weddings, and quiet times in church.
Peggy worked as the Promotions Coordinator for concerts for the Grammy Award winning band, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart. Her experience also includes employment by the State of Alabama as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for people with disabilities, and six years as a high school counselor.
Peggy uses a unique combination of music, humor, and counseling techniques to entertain, teach, motivate, and encourage audiences of all ages (children, teens, or adults).
Peggy is married to John McKay, a network engineer and a blues harmonica player. They currently reside in Woodstock, Alabama, where Peggy is the Minister of Music at their church.
