Pete Zeldman - 'possibly the most technically advanced drummer in the world...' Rhythm Magazine, Issue 105.
Original, unusual sounding rhythmic pieces, created in Pete Zeldman's own innovative style. He is a wizard of 4-way independence and has been known to solo in 4 different time signatures simultaneously.
Twilight Walks Over is a 2009 release comprising a large variety of pieces using drums only. Tracks cover a wide range of rhythmic concepts - everything from melodic drumming, rhythmic illusions, polyrhythms and cross rhythms to new styles of rhythm quite possibly never heard before. There are surprises in store and a variety of moods throughout!!
New rhythmic ideas are performed and the pieces often sound overdubbed and/or manipulated, but are not. No overdubs were used. Pete is one of the pioneers of multi-pedal drumming. On some of the tracks he orchestrates with his feet as well as his hands, sounding like several drummers playing simultaneously.
Also now available as download only is Pete's original 1991 version of Other Not Elsewhere - the CD that took the drum community by storm and displayed some of Pete's multi-pedal playing.
Pete is an expert in the field of rhythm. He has taught countless drummers, but more unusually has widened the spectrum and teaches rhythm theory and time manipulation to all instrumentalists and vocalists.
