......who is Phil?
...Phil is a songwriter, a skilled musician, and a soulful performer. Raised in Texas, at 14 Phil began playing for his father's Baptist Church.
Early on phil knew his music talent was truly a gift from God. Phil's musical background spans a wide range of experience and influences...Andre Crouch, The Brother's Hawkins, The Sister's Clark, Sara Groves, Jeremy Camp, Third Day, James Taylor, Mercy Me and most of all his mother, the late Mrs.Louise Perry.
A combo of sincere songwriting, thought provoking lyrics, technically sound muscianship and emotional performances set Phil apart from the rest. Phil is a passionate man about his artform. A man driven by forces both spiritual and intellectual. Phil has never relied on his own ability, he knows it is but by the grace of God that he accomplishes anything. In 2006, Phil recorded his first composition with Edwin Hawkins. "Just How Long", lead by Lady Tramaine Hawkins. In 2008, He reorded the insipiring worship song, "Reign Forevermore", with the Music&Arts Love Fellowship Choir. In 2009, was favored again, and recorded "In This Place" with MALFC. This time The Richard Smallwood did the lead. Phil is expecting the Lord to do no less than His promise to "do exceedingly and abundantly above what we could ever ask or think, according tto the power that worketh in us...".
