BIOGRAPHY
Piqued Jacks are a four-member group with the powerful and dynamic sound of a strong friendship and true passion, set free in its own alternative/funk-rock which began in September 2006 in Pistoia, Italy. They are backed by the Emmy Awarded and Grammy Nominated producer Brian Lanese, who worked with Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, No Doubt) and produced their latest EP “Just a Machine” recorded in Los Angeles at 4th Street Recording in October 2012.
Released in January 2013 after two self-produced EPs, "Just a Machine" has been played in preview at the world famous Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip and officially presented at the Capanno Blackout in Prato, Italy; plus, its launching single “Welcome to the Future” featured a videoclip directed by Micromovie CEO Claudio Piccolotto. Influenced by QOTSA, Biffy Clyro, Incubus, The Killers and The Mars Volta, the Piqued Jacks reached a completely personal and original crossover that is still evolving, increasing their fan base.
Amplified by full attention to live performances and great determination, in March 2013 Piqued Jacks' music has been selected by Texas Rockfest and RedGorilla festivals, calling the band to play during the world's largest music event: South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. The strength of their artistic project has been awarded, in 2012, even by the Indie Time Prize at the nationwide Marea Festival, and by the Franco Campioni Prize, dedicated to one of the best drummers of Italy.
Many radio stations like Gashouse Radio (Philadelphia, PA), Indie104 (Los Angeles, CA), Be1-FM (Brasil) and the Italian national radio Radio Rai 1, appreciated and broadcasted their songs, which have also been used by the national TV Rai 1 in "Superquark" show. Both their music videos "Welcome..." and "Tourist of an Apocalypse" had been selected and supported by the international network of independent music "BlankTV" and included in the schedule of the TV channel "Italia 2". Clive Griffiths, one of the first European VJs and radio host for RMC, included Piqued Jacks in his official site between young artists that struck him the most.
The strong and indissoluble chemistry that ties them together will be the main force to face and work hard on their forthcoming future; their joyfulness to communicate through their music has different sizes for everybody from babies to grannies, and its colors match with a lot of clothes, probably even with yours.

Sono seguiti dal produttore statunitense Brian Lanese, collaboratore di Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, No Doubt), vincitore di tre Emmy Awards e nominato ai Grammy 2011, che ha prodotto il loro ultimo EP "Just a Machine" registrato a Los Angeles nel rinomato 4th Street Recording di Santa Monica.
Uscito a gennaio 2013 dopo due EP autoprodotti, "Just a Machine" è stato proposto in anteprima al celebre Whisky a Go Go di Los Angeles e presentato ufficialmente al Capanno Blackout di Prato; il primo singolo estratto "Welcome to the Future" è stato lanciato da un videoclip diretto dal CEO di Micromovie Claudio Piccolotto. Influenzati da QOTSA, Biffy Clyro, Incubus, The Killers e The Mars Volta, i Piqued Jacks hanno raggiunto un crossover completamente personale ed originale, che continua ad evolversi allargandone la base di supporters.
Amplificata dalla cura delle esibizioni e dalla forte determinazione, nel marzo 2013 la musica dei Piqued Jacks è stata selezionata dai due festival Texas Rockfest e RedGorilla, chiamandoli a suonare durante la più grande kermesse musicale del mondo: il South by Southwest di Austin, Texas. La solidità della loro proposta artistica è stata riconosciuta, nel 2012, anche dal premio nazione Indie Time, targato Marea Festival, e dal Premio Franco Campioni, dedicato ad uno dei migliori batteristi jazz d'Italia.
Numerose radio tra cui Radio Rai 1, Gashouse Radio (Filadelfia, USA), Be1-FM (Brasile) e Indie104 (Los Angeles, USA), hanno apprezzato e trasmesso le loro canzoni - inserite anche da Rai 1 in "Superquark" - mentre entrambi i loro videoclip "Welcome..." e "Tourist of an Apocalypse" sono stati scelti e supportati dal portale internazionale di musica indipendente "BlankTV" e inclusi nella programmazione del canale TV Italia 2. Clive Griffiths, storico VJ di VideoMusic e conduttore radiofonico su RMC, ha incluso i Piqued Jacks sul suo sito ufficiale tra i giovani artisti che più lo hanno colpito.
La chimica forte ed indissolubile che li lega assieme è e sarà il motore principale per affrontare e lavorare duramente sul prossimo futuro; il loro entusiasmo nel comunicare attraverso la musica è fatto per tutti, dalle nonne ai neonati, ed i suoi colori riescono ad intonarsi con un sacco di vestiti, probabilmente anche con i tuoi.
