Prime Pollution - Bringing Soul to Polluted music!
Prime Pollution aims to present, in a sardonic and self-mocking manner, the common man's angst at being taken for granted. The group, formed by band members Nand Raman and Navpreet Brar in 2011, aims to infuse these every-man sensibilities into musical elements that draw from modern rock, progressive pop-rock, Sufi music, and industrial metal. The band's music always attempts to tell intricate stories by using elements like soul-stirring Hindi poetry (by poet and lyricist Premanshu Bhushan), fusion melodies, odd meters, electronica, and straight-up old-school guitar.
Nand Raman is the songwriter/composer, guitarist, bassist and arranger, and sometimes contributes vocals. Navpreet Brar is the lead vocalist and also contributes as a songwriter and arranger. Both the band-members write song-lyrics but also use external resources like their friend and Hindi-poet extraordinaire, Premanshu Bhushan.
