Quartetto Minimo

The Quartetto Minimo is the the name of a music group founded by the guitarists Nico Arzimanoglou (Greek-Spanish), Sébastien Spang (French-Colombian), and the Hercelin brothers, Eliaz and Ilan (Franco-Spanish) who play the bass and the drums, respectively. Since their first meeting, the band has played their own compositions, and since then they have not stopped. All four members live in spain, between Madrid and Guadalajara, and are an active part of Madrid's jazz scene. Quartetto Minimo's music is unique in that they refuse to copy, or emulate the jazz music that has already been played, and prefer to play solely their own music, and this, from a very young age. Spang, Nico, Eliaz and Ilan make up the Quartetto Minimo, a group that is incredible for their melodies and unedited improvisations. They have produced and recorded four albums, one of them won the first prize of the Spanish Youth National Contest. A price that allowed them to play in some notorious Spain Jazz Festivals and some concerts abroad.Their music is a breath of fresh air for the jazz and its evolution.
