Biography

Esiris Kayab Lyons, also known as Quetzatl, is an American electronic musician and record producer. His music has charted extensively on College Radio Top Tens and is featured in Award-Winning Independent Films, Documentaries, and Television Programs. Relying heavily upon improvisation and taking an avant-garde approach, his music has been described as "an alien blend of disrupted electro and bleep led techno". His drum and bass recordings have been cited as "original and authentic" as well as "otherworldy". For Quetzatl releases such as "Meta Tek", visual counterparts have been produced.

Quetzatl has performed and toured from the East Coast to the West, with acts such as STS9, Kimball Collins, Hive, LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad, DJ Spooky, Ming & FS, Richard Devine, Makoto, Scorb, Androcell, Spacecraft, UFO!, Living Legends, Black Rebels, GalaxC Girl, Freddy Todd, Larry Keel, d-Queue, Strut, Production Unit Xero, Elemental Harmonics, Groovatron, Namaste, Vessel, Phantom 45, DJ Matt B, Cyberjive, Pericles, Knowa Knowone, J-Luv, Acoustic Syndicate, Shapestatic, Blue Spectral Monkey, Electrypnose, Aligning Minds, Medisin, Northstar, Random, Selector Cleofus, Burning Spear and many more.

Quetzatl's full length releases include; "where eternities meet", "Chilam Balam", "Movement and Measure", "Telepathy", "Meta Tek", "Reporting From Earth" and "On the Edge od Dopeness", with more full length albums due for release soon.
