Singer Songwriter ~ Vancouver BC Canada
"Gorgeous, sun-struck acoustic soul" - Globe & Mail
Vancouver’s Reid Jamieson shines his light with an incredible voice, therapeutic lyrics, and a magical way with melodies. A regular on CBC’s Vinyl Cafe, and winner of the grand prize for folk in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Reid's original recordings feature guests Sarah Harmer, Samantha Parton (Be Good Tanyas), Bob Egan (Wilco, Blue Rodeo), John Sheard (Celine Dion, Dan Hill). Reid can often be found performing as an entertaining duo with his cheeky wife and songwriting partner Carolyn Mill. Along with the Lennon win, this creative couple just wrote their way into the Vancouver Folk Music Fest by winning 1st prize in the Pickin' a Folk Star Contest and are finalists in multiple song writing contests internationally. Reid recently took part in a special ensemble production and recording called The Kennedy Suite with the Cowboy Junkies, and will record a duet with Margo Timmins in 2014 as part of a larger collection of duets. The fall of 2014 will see Reid releasing a very romantic record with his wife (her first vocal appearance on disc) tentatively titled 'Juniper's Kitchen'.
A male k.d. Lang or Roy Orbison’s long lost son; the comparison’s continue to come in but Reid remains uniquely himself.

"Neither derivative nor nostalgic...The Unavoidable Truth, is a work of elegant, understated beauty that juggles elements of plaintive folk, rock and countrified pop while enveloping the listener in the atmospheric glow of his soulful vocals."- Paste Magazine (4 to Watch)
"I don’t know how I missed it, but somewhere between the release of his debut CD, ‘Staring Contest’ and what could be mistaken for a simple holiday album ‘Songs For A Winter’s Night,’ Reid Jamieson has become the greatest Canadian pop singer ever..... He’s become a favourite in the Canadian heartland, but shouldn’t be held back by radio frequencies, regional borders or time zones.” - Doug Heselgrave, NoDepression.com
