Biography

Rena Vox Athanasopoulou graduated from the School of Fine Arts, Department of Drama in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also studied Theatre at Freie Universität in Berlin and at the Academy of the Greek National Theatre. Awarded with distinction on her diploma in Opera-Lyrical Singing as Soprano, Rena is also an honours graduate in Armonia (higher theoretical studies in Music). In addition, she took piano lessons during the period 1989-2003 and attended lessons on Jazz singing and theory. Rena has also participated in many seminars on Theatre, Cinema and Music.
Rena composes music for both cinema and theatre. She also composed and performed the anthem for the official opening of the 3rd Pan-Hellenic Conference of Amateur Astronomy. She has participated in various musical and musical-theatrical performances.
Rena has released her first cd entitled “Colourful notes on a white screen” with cinematic songs by the independent 'Renavox' production. Rena has already performed, in various cities in Greece, a number of live performances with a cinematic repertoire. Her additional interests are writing-poetry, painting and photography. Parallel she is a music and theatre Professor in many educational programs.
