The instrumental rock foursome was formed in 2002, in Québec City. Rhinocéros music emphasizes the pivotal role played by guitars and rhythms through well-balanced melodies, subtle textures and expansive moods.
From its creation, the band has given shows in Québec City and Montréal. In 2006, Rhinocéros participated in the Envol et Macadam Festival, the Off Festival and the edition of the SMIQ (Salon de la musique indépendante de Québec). with Pièces, an EP record marking Rhinocéros official entry into Québec musical lanscape.
The four musicians actively take part in the music writing, arrangements, recording, mixing as well as in the other steps inherent to the album production. The rhinoceros is an animal that has to fight for survival and that capitalizes on its strengths to get by. Like this fascinating creature, the musicians are working at their art to survive in a ferociously competitive environment.
