Rob Thompson
 

Biography

Rob is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Rob has worked in a variety of disciplines including theatre, film and music. He first performed with the band, Trilogy, and also composed music for the Penguin Theatre Company.

Rob put music on hold while he studied film production and gained notoriety for two films, Caged and Journey To Little Rock. Working full time in film and video his work has been broadcast across North America and screened at the British Film Institute and the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Rob never strayed far from his roots and began working on his first solo CD in 2003, Reluctant Lovers. After he received critical acclaim for this debut album Rob followed up with another two albums in 2008 and 2010 titled, Songs From Cabbagetown and Flesh of the Olive respectively.

Rob currently lives in the wilds of Northern Ontario and is working on his fourth CD.
