Roberto "Mukaro" Borrero is an indigenous Taino musician, artist, writer, human rights advocate, and respected community leader whose maternal and paternal aboriginal lineage comes from the island of Boriken (Puerto Rico)... After many traditional ceremonies and consultations with elders within and out of the Caribbean island region, Mukaro originally wrote, performed, and produced "The Dance of the Mountain People" in 1994, remastering the "Anniversary Edition" for re-release in 2011... Growing up in New York, Mukaro can be considered an "urban ndn" but his passion and dedication to his indigenous ancestors and the future generations continues to take him all over the World sharing aspects of Taino Music, art, and culture to diverse and appreciative audiences...
