Robin Kelly

Biography

Robin Kelly is a singer/songwriter, award-winning author, presenter and doctor.
His four albums of originals range from the dark roots of Black Ice (penned 12 years before AC/DC's version!), through to the melodically rich Silk & Knives, the alternative country rock of Shimmer to the personal warmth of Something Magical.
The reviews too have been warm:
- "a strange rich darkness that never makes you depressed..."
- "a singer songwriter with a good chance of putting New Zealand on the map..."
- "the recording and arrangement is flawless, creating a full sound, yet without overdoing it."
And finally from the USA "...if this is the norm for NZ, I wanna go!"
Robin of course only really sounds like himself – but you may hear traces of Don McLean, Neil Young or even Ron Sexsmith. He performs songs live during his many presentations within New Zealand and overseas.
