First Solo Release promises to be a mixture of “the best of the best!”
For those who already know his sound, the anticipation of hearing Roland´s work as an artist is almost like a kid who can´t wait for Christmas! But for those who are not familiar with this unique blend of Church, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Rock and Worship, is in for a major treat. The first thing you will notice is how every song, regardless of the style of music, is clean and fresh in it`s structure - and that surprises are sure to be found with each song. Just when you thought you´ve got a grasp on his direction, he “flips the script”. But Roland´s genius is not in his effects - but in his simplicity of introducing old lyrics to a new flow, and creating a whole new concept. And did we mention the fact that he plays / programs all of his instruments?
Roland´s years of experience with major record companies has given him the knowledge and experience needed to be a great catalyst in the upcoming direction in Gospel Music. But as Roland explains it, “I´m not trying to prove a point, or establish myself as anything. I simply just want to produce Gospel Music in the way God has given me to do - without compromise; that God may get the glory in the songs, and that people may be ministered to. I´m not the only one, but I DO have something to offer”.
The project is scheduled to be release in October 2009, and promised to be comprised of songs that are intelligent, well thought out, and ANOINTED of God! “I would love for my songs to be a “cross-over”, reaching as many people as possible. But I´m more concerning about helping people to “cross-over” to the Lord´s side, and surrender their life to Christ. It is my prayer that the message in the songs will bring about salvation to the lost, and encouragement to the Body of Christ!”
