Ron Crose

Biography

Austin didjeridoo player and percussionist Ron Crose creates contemporary didgeridoo (Yidaki) music with traditional and non traditional instrumentation. He is also known as Barra, or "West Wind", his Australian Aboriginal name, which was given to him by the Yolgnu people in North Australia. Besides "west wind", it's also known as "the breath of the Witdidj (rainbow serpent)". Forever inspired by the mystery of the Dreamtime, Barra plays with the greatest respect for the Australian Aboriginals past and present. He has performed in music festivals, yoga events, joining stage and studio with many musicians, and loves to share his knowledge and love by holding workshops and classes throughout the world.
