Ron Hart received his BFA in Music Composition from Ohio University and did his post-graduate work at UCLA in Film Scoring during the mid ‘70’s. Ron has played with a variety of music artists, beginning at age 19 with Dionne Warwick. His work as a jazz pianist continued with saxophonist Sonny Stitt, bebop guitarist Bill deArango (Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker), trumpeter Harry “Sweets” Edison (Count Basie, Ben Webster), bassist Larry Klein (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Freddie Hubbard), drummer E.W. Wainwright (McCoy Tyner, Earl "Fatha" Hines), and co-led a jazz fusion group that released the "Dancing Moments" vinyl LP on ShadlowLight Records in 1982. Ron is also the arranger and featured musician on two popular CD's, “The Divine Gypsy,” (1997) and "Where Golden Dreams Dwell" (2003), both published by Self-Realization Fellowship.
In 2006 Ron started Indie label PureBeam Music, and in 2008 released “The Light Beyond the Atoms,” a four-movement suite of original music featuring Ron on grand piano with synthesizer orchestration. On October 9, 2009 a selection from the album was featured on Hearts of Space radio throughout North America and can be found in their online archives under Program 889 “Wistful.” Also appearing on that show are jazz greats Herbie Mann, Chick Corea, Gary Burton and Jan Garbarek.
