Ryan SanAngelo has been writing and performing children's music since 2002. His picture book "Spaghetti Eddie" was published in August of that year and Ryan wrote some original children's songs to perform along with his book at author visits. After years of performing in a band or solo at bars, Ryan knew he had struck gold during his first performance for children. The children loved his songs and Ryan was so happy to finally find an audience for his creativity.
Ryan SanAngelo's blend of rock and rap music for children is very colorful. His songs are filled with witty rhymes, catchy melodies, and above all, his lively and humorous personality. Ryan always wanted to be a rock star, now he gets to be a rock star for children, who he says are the greatest audience of all.
Ryan SanAngelo has been playing the guitar and bass guitar since he was 14. He was always more interested in writing his own songs as opposed to mastering other people’s songs. His music differs from other children's music because it incorporates influences from other performers not associated with kids music. Ryan has been very inspired by the creativity and energy of rock groups such as Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd, as well as rap groups like the Beastie Boys and Run DMC.
Ryan SanAngelo's picture book "Spaghetti Eddie" is the whimsical tale of a boy who uses his spaghetti to solve people's problems. It's a totally awesome book that chidlren and adults both love.
