SLOWtheIMPACT

Biography

SLOWtheIMPACT, also known to their fans as "STI", took stages by storm in the summer of 2005. STI is comprised of veterans in the Portland music scene, all with diverse musical backgrounds.

STI has remained non-genre specific in all of their music, with touches of hard rock, pop, punk and even some bits of 80's "whatever-wave" blending together for something that truly defines the Portland "alternative" sound.

At the time the band was recording their first album, "From The Stars We Fall" they were at an impasse. Member changes forced them to follow new ideas and take the band in a new direction, incorporating various new elements into their already infectious pop-punk style. The release in late 2007 was well received in the local scene, and helped establish the band in their home town.

The single off their first album, a track titled "My Good Friend Temptation" was featured in the local independent comedy film titled "Cracking The Code" by writer and director Steve Coker.

STI began work on their second full length album in 2009, and released "A New Chapter" on March 01, 2010.
