BIOGRAPHY
My name is Sam Choo. I love to play the piano and sing (but am only good at the piano).
How I learned to play the piano:
Everything started during the 5th grade. My father sent me to Malaysia (where I was born) to learn how to speak Chinese and play the piano for about half a year. It was a fun experience because 2 of my relatives were piano teachers and I got to learn from both of them at the same time. When I got back to the US I stopped playing the piano because of lack of interest. I was more into video games and other leisure activities that most people would scorn at. Anyways, I found a beautiful song called "Eternity" from the video game "Final Fantasy". It somehow inspired me to pick up the piano again, and with a little encouragement from a good friend of mine I started learning. Gosh! It took me about a month to learn the darn song. Then I started playing a lot of video game music. Then I played some popular music like "Taylor Swift", "Whitney Houston", "Backstreet Boys", etc. Finally at this point in time I think I have finally hit home. Anime music is definitely my most favorite type of music because I just love the way they make the melody and the beats. Also, most anime songs don't use Autotune on the singers.
Computer Science degree???
I love music, but it was truly unacceptable for my dad so I do music as a side thing. I have a Computer Science degree and will pursue a Computer Science related job soon. Hopefully one day someone will notice my music and give me a chance to share my passion for music with the rest of the world.
