Sandy Nitch, vocalist and band leader, has been performing professionally since 2007. She was born Tampa and raised in the rural suburb of Riverview, Florida. She has had a love of music and singing since she was just "knee high to a grasshopper". And, eventually fell head of heels for her husband and jazz music.
Since finding her niche Sandy has both managed and performed with a 16 piece orchestra. And, currently sings with a duo, trio and quartet while guesting with other bands in her travels around the United States. She additionally provides voice-over work for WZPH--a local radio station. Sandy recorded two new albums in 2012—“Maybe You’ll Be There” a mix of jazz, blues and pop and “From Vegas With Love” a great mixture of jazz standards and ballads. In 2015 she released her first Christmas Album, "A Sandy Kind of Christmas" with her husband and friends. Sandy is a published poet, a multi-medium artist and she strives to nurture her creative side by always continuing to learn and see things through a different lens.
Sandy is often compared to Julie London, Diana Krall and even Karen Carpenter and when performing jazz—her vocal styling and sensitivity is that of a saxophone player—very smooth. Recently, Sandy began working with friends to create music that can be enjoyed by everyone through incorporating music from multi-generations and giving it her own spin. Sandy brings a mixed bouquet of jazz, blues, and pop with her wherever she goes, but don’t be afraid to ask her and her friends for a little bit of country. - See more at: http://www.sandynitch.com
